Golf course photography isn’t just about making a hole look pretty, it’s about helping people understand and feel the course before they ever step on property.
These two photos of Baywood Greens’ 18th hole were taken from the same tee box a couple of years apart, one from the ground and one with a drone. Each tells a different part of the story. The ground photo helps golfers picture themselves standing on the tee, choosing a club, and visualizing the shot. The drone photo helps viewers understand the layout, strategy, and flow of the hole at a glance.
On their own, each image is strong. When used together, they become far more powerful. One builds emotional connection, the other builds clarity and perspective. That combination leads to better marketing, stronger engagement, and a more authentic representation of the course.
That’s the approach we believe in at Focus Fairways: use both tools with intention for maximum impact.
